Appointment Policy
Booking
- All services are by appointment only
- We recommend booking 24-48 hours in advance
- Weekend appointments book quickly - plan ahead
- Same-day appointments may be available - call to check
Confirmation
- You'll receive a confirmation call or text 24 hours before your appointment
- Please respond to confirm or let us know if you need to reschedule
Arrival
- Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled time
- Late arrivals may result in shortened sessions
- Sessions ending late may impact subsequent appointments
Cancellation & No-Show Policy

We require at least 24 hours advance notice for all cancellations and rescheduling.

Cancellation Fees
- 24+ hours notice: No charge - cancel or reschedule freely
- 12-24 hours notice: 50% of scheduled service fee
- Less than 12 hours: 75% of scheduled service fee
- No-show: 100% of scheduled service fee
Emergency Situations
- Medical emergencies and family emergencies are considered case-by-case
- Weather emergencies that make travel unsafe will not incur fees
- Please contact us as soon as possible in emergency situations
Multiple Cancellations
- Multiple last-minute cancellations may require prepayment for future appointments
- We reserve the right to require a credit card on file after repeated late cancellations
Health & Safety Policy

- Please inform us of any health conditions, injuries, or medications
- Update us on any changes to your health status
- We may need to modify techniques or decline service for certain conditions
Illness Policy
- If you're feeling unwell, please reschedule - no fee will be charged
- Symptoms include: fever, cough, body aches, nausea, or contagious conditions
- This protects both you and our other clients
Pregnancy
- Prenatal massage is generally safe after the first trimester
- Please obtain clearance from your healthcare provider
- Inform us of your due date and any pregnancy-related concerns
Contraindications
- We may need to decline or modify service for certain health conditions
- This includes acute injuries, certain medications, or recent surgeries
- We'll work with you and your healthcare provider to ensure safe treatment
Privacy & Confidentiality
Client Information
- All health information and treatment details are strictly confidential
- Information is only used for providing and improving your care
- We do not share information with third parties without your consent
Data Security
- Client records are stored securely and access is limited
- Digital communications are encrypted when possible
- Physical records are kept in locked, secure storage
Photography/Social Media
- No photos or videos are taken during sessions without explicit consent
- Testimonials and reviews are only shared with permission
- Your privacy and dignity are always our top priority
Payment Policy
Payment Methods

- Venmo accepted (ask for details)
- Payment is due at the time of service
Gratuity
- Gratuity is appreciated but never required
- Standard gratuity is 15-20% if you choose to tip
- Cash tips are preferred but can be added to card payments

Draping
- Appropriate draping is always maintained for your comfort and privacy
- Only the area being worked on is uncovered
- You may request additional coverage at any time
Liability & Terms
Assumption of Risk
- By receiving massage therapy, you acknowledge there are inherent risks
- Risks include temporary soreness, bruising, or aggravation of existing conditions
- Please inform us immediately if you experience any unusual symptoms
Scope of Practice
- Massage therapy is not a substitute for medical care
- We do not diagnose medical conditions or prescribe treatments

Property
- Sartorius Massage Therapy is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items
- Please secure valuable items or leave them at home
- Damaged property due to negligence will be handled case-by-case
